Became the first Scotsman to win a World Golf Championships event in 2015 at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, and three years later became the first Scot to win a Rolex Series event at the 2018 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation, beating Ryan Fox in a play-off at Ballyliffin Golf Club.

Went to Jacksonville University on a golf scholarship and remained in Florida after graduating.
