Played in Sweden's victorious side in the 1993 European Boys Championship and represented his country in the Eisenhower Trophy before turning pro. One of the longest hitters on the 1997 Challenge Tour, from where he graduated following two seasons playing in South America. His sister, Maria, is also a golf professional, playing on the ELPGA Tour.
