Won his first European Tour title on his 200th start at the 2018 Nordea Masters, having competed on the European Tour since 2008 after qualifying at his first attempt at Qualifying School in 2007.

The Englishman enjoyed a sparkling amateur career including winning the 2005 English Amateur Championship and captaining his nation in the Home Internationals.

He comes from a sporting family, his mother Gill swam for England and his cousin Matthew Smith is a former professional tennis player.
