Made a fast start to his European Tour career in 2001 with his first victory on just his 11th start at the Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship, going on to win the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award.

Won twice in 2003 and made a debut Ryder Cup appearance in 2004, the first of three consecutive appearances for Team Europe. In 2006, he became the only player in Ryder Cup history to win a foursome match with a hole-in-one, which he achieved at the K Club.

His tenth European Tour victory came at the historic Wentworth Club as he won the 2009 BMW PGA Championship.

In 2010, he came close to winning his first WGC title but was beaten in the final of the WGC-Accenture Match Play by compatriot Ian Poulter, and then nearly won his first Major, only to finish tied third at the 139th Open Championship at St Andrews - his best Major finish to date.

Casey bridged a five-year gap in 2019 as he won the Porsche European Open, his first victory since the KLM Open in 2014 and then won his 15th European Tour title at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in 2021.

A three-time winner on the PGA TOUR, his return to form in the late 2010s earned him a Captain’s Pick for the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National before qualifying automatically for the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits in 2021.

In 2007 set up his own Paul Casey Foundation to help juniors at Foxhills Golf Club, where he grew up.
