Celebrated his ascent to World Number One in May 2014 by securing his 11th PGA TOUR title a week later in the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

The highlight of his career so far was his maiden Major victory in the 2013 Masters Tournament at Augusta National, where he birdied the 72nd hole to force a play-off with 2009 champion Angel Cabrera before making another birdie at the second hole of sudden death to become the first Australian to wear the coveted Green Jacket. That helped make up for the disappointment at the Open Championship the year before, when he led by four shots with four holes to play, only to bogey each one and lose by a shot to Ernie Els.

In addition to his Augusta success, has won other big tournaments around the globe, including the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, where he held off Luke Donald and Rickie Fowler to win by four shots, and the 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Returned to form during the 2019/20 season as he won the Australian PGA Championship in December 2019 and the Genesis Invitational on the PGA TOUR just two months later in February 2020 - his 11th European Tour victory and 14th win in the United States respectively.

In 2004, at the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the PGA TOUR. His professional career started when he secured his European Tour card for 2001 in just eight starts.

Established the Adam Scott Foundation, an organisation set up to assist and support young people in Australia.
