Gordon passed away on August 1, 2019, at the age of 60. The son of the professional at Bristol’s Knowle Golf Club, Brand Jnr won twice in his rookie year in 1982, finishing seventh on the Order of Merit.

Played in The Ryder Cup in 1987 and 1989, helping the European team record their first victory on American soil.

Won eight times on the European Tour and reached the milestone of 500 events at the 2002 PGA Championship.

Joined the Senior Tour in 2010 and went on to win the Matrix Jersey Classic at La Moye Golf Club, the venue where he set the course record in 1996 (62) after carding four eagles in one round.
