Born in England but plays under the South African flag after moving to Johannesburg shortly before turning professional in 1978.

Joined the Sunshine Tour in 1985 and won his first title that season. Went on to win eight more times on the South African tour.

Secured conditional playing rights at 2008 Senior Tour Qualifying School and won his first over-50s title in 2011.

Returned to the winner’s circle in 2017 with victory at the inaugural Sharjah Senior Golf Masters presented by Shurooq and would go on to finish second on the Staysure Tour Order of Merit that year.

Won his third over-50s title in 2021 at the Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship, three strokes ahead of Phillip Price
