Five top ten finishes in his first seven events of the 2006 campaign, including a career high of joint third in the Andalucia Open de España Valle Romano, laid the foundations for his best season on Tour as he retained his card for the first time in seven attempts by finishing 75th on the Order of Merit. Five times he had been successful through the Qualifying School and once via the Challenge Tour since 1999 but it was not until the 2006 season that he secured a place in the top 115 on the Order of Merit for the first time. Represented Sweden at all levels whilst an amateur and has twice won on his home Telia Tour.
