Turned professional in 2020 after a successful amateur career in his native Japan. Won his first professional title on the Japan Challenge Tour in 2021 and finished third on the season-long money list to earn full playing rights on the Japan Golf Tour for 2022.

Won the 2022 ISPS HANDA Championship in Japan and claimed Japan Golf Tour Rookie of the Year honours.

Claimed a maiden DP World Tour title at the now co-sanctioned ISPS HANDA - Championship, carding a final round 63 at Taiheiyo Club to win by three strokes.
