There were emotional scenes in Aviemore 12 months ago as the popular James Heath took a memorable maiden Challenge Tour victory at an event that has become a staple since its inception in 2006.
Since then an illustrious list of champions has continued to grow, most notably featuring Brooks Koepka – now one of the top 20 golfers in the world and a Ryder Cup winner – and Andrew Johnston, who topped the Rankings after his victory at Macdonald Spey Valley Golf Club and has since become one of golf’s most familiar and popular faces, taking his ‘Beef’ brand to millions of fans around the world.
