From Scotland to Spain, the European Tour travels to Madrid for the Mutuactivos Open de España at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid this week.

Favourite - Jon Rahm

He's the home favourite for a reason.
Form Horse - Sergio Garcia
After a week off Sergio Garcia is back on the European Tour and is aiming to win on Spanish soil for the third consecutive season.
El Niño also has extra incentive this week, by looking to triumph in his second consecutive European Tour start after making the KLM Open in Amsterdam his 16th Tour victory just three weeks ago.
Historically he is one of the top performers at the Open de España - holding one win and two top five finishes to his name. With 648 holes played and a total score of 45 under par, only one player has a better aggregate score to par at the tournament, Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
Garcia has won back-to-back events once before in his European Tour career and they were both held in Spain: the 2011 Andalucía Masters and Castelló Masters the following week.
Sergio could join Seve Ballesteros as the only player to win a European Tour event on Spanish soil over three consecutive years with a win this week, and we wouldn't put it past him – seven of his 16 career European Tour victories came in Spain.

It's been an up-and-down year for the Englishman, who revealed in a Player Blog he was close to giving up the game he loves, but a strong summer has put him on track to finish the year on a positive.
A string of top 30 finishes throughout August and September were capped off with a deserved solo fourth place at the KLM Open, and when you dig into his stats his driving accuracy has played a big key - he ranks 18th on the European Tour.
Back on Spanish soil he's played the Open de España eight times, finishing inside the top five on three occasions with a record of 1.34 strokes gained on the field per Open de España round.
