Leading amateurs from across Europe are gathered at Linna Golf, near Helsinki in Finland, to experience the delights of Linna Golf with the European Amateur Team Championship in full swing.
Over five days of competition, the best 16 countries in Europe fielding teams of six amateur players, will compete for the title with the results determining selections for the 2014 World Golf Championships. Two days of stroke-play qualifying, which concluded yesterday, will be followed by three days of matchplay competition to decide the eventual winner.
Participating countries are: Austrian, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
