Tiger Woods stayed on course for his 15th individual World Golf Championships title when he finished the opening 18 holes of the WGC - Accenture Match Play four up against compatriot Stewart Cink.
Henrik Stenson ended the week in Arizona on a high when he claimed third place in the WGC – Accenture Match Play, comfortably seeing off the challenge of Justin Leonard by 3 and 2 in the 18 hole Consolation Match.
It may be his professional debut in the United States but Martin Kaymer will find a familiar face waiting for him in the first round of the WGC – Accenture Match Play at The Gallery Golf Club in Tucson.
The European Tour’s leading lights have the opportunity to shine on the world stage this week, as defending champion Henrik Stenson leads a record 31 Tour Members to The Gallery Golf Club in Tuscon, Arizona for the World Golf Championships – Accenture Match Play.
Henrik Stenson’s valiant defence of the WGC – Accenture Match Play title came to an end at the hands of Tiger Woods as the Swede lost on the final green of an epic semi-final to the World Number One.
Just as in The Ryder Cup, Colin Montgomerie continued to be the scourge of the Americans as he led the European charge into the last 16 of the WGC – Accenture Match Play at The Gallery Golf Club in Tucson.
