Jon Rahm thinks the Genesis Scottish Open being co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR is "wonderful for the game of golf".
The Spanish Ryder Cup star is part of a world-class field gathered at The Renaissance Club for the third Rolex Series event of the 2022 season this week.
Fourteen of the world's top 15 golfers will tee it up in North Berwick when the opening round gets under way on Thursday, and Rahm is pleased so many of them are getting to experience the course.
Speaking about the two tours coming together, Rahm said: "I think it's wonderful for the game of golf.
"You get more players that maybe wouldn't have come to this event to come and see this beautiful course, and play in Scotland.
"I'm looking forward to it, and I can't wait to get started."
The Major Champion is no stranger to The Renaissance Club, having finished seventh after shooting four rounds in the sixties last year.
He believes the weather will play a big role in determining what sort of test the players are faced with this week.
Rahm added: "I remember starting really hot on Friday morning. I think I was seven under through ten holes and came in at six under par, I believe.
"I did have a go but I didn't have my best week. It's golf. It is how it is.
"It just shows that I know how to play the golf course.
"I remember we had completely different wind every day.
"So we'll see. If we have the wind we have right now, it's going to be a very different golf course to what we play.
"We'll see how the weather is and we'll see what I can do."
