Jon Rahm thrilled to be back at Wentworth

Jon Rahm is hoping to go one better than his second-place finish at the BMW PGA Championship in 2019 when he returns to Wentworth Club this week.

Ryder Cup star Rahm shares the record for Rolex Series titles and would make history as the first player to win five with victory in Surrey on Sunday.

The Spaniard finished alone in second, three shots behind champion Danny Willett, in his only appearance at this event three years ago and he is aiming to put himself in the mix this time around as he looks to add his name to an illustrious list of winners.

Standing in Rahm's way, though, are some of the DP World Tour's very best players, with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Shane Lowry and defending champion Billy Horschel in the world-class field this week.

"I'm happy to be back," said Rahm.

"I've spoken many times about how much I like the history of the game and when it comes to the history of the DP World Tour, this event and this venue is very, very important.

"A lot of great champions. I was close the only time I came and I'm looking forward to hopefully giving myself a better chance.

"But it's a golf course that I enjoy, a very nice area of the country and if we get luckier with the weather than we are right now it should be a very fun week."
