DP World, the leading provider of smart logistics, and DP World Tour professionals share a focus on smart decision-making to drive success. This is evident across a variety of areas: smart preparation, performance, perspective, partnerships, and possibilities. We joined two-time DP World Tour Championship winner Jon Rahm for the final three holes of his practice round ahead of the season-ending tournament to explore each of these areas.
Filmed over holes 16, 17 and 18 of the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, Rahm touched on a variety of areas including what he aims to achieve when he practices ahead of a tournament, the importance of a repeatable pre-shot routine and committing to every shot with confidence, his partnership with his caddie as well as what it feels like when you are playing ‘perfect’ golf.
Jumeirah Golf Estates' Earth Course has been a happy hunting ground for Rahm, who has two wins and a joint-fourth placed finish to show for his three trips there. The Spaniard's last visit came in 2019 when he won both the tournament and the Harry Vardon Trophy, and Rahm recreated the crucial bunker shot on the 18th green which secured his win three years ago.
Rahm was also awarded Honorary Life Membership of the DP World Tour this week after becoming the first Spanish winner of the U.S. Open when he triumphed at Torrey. He returned to World Number One with his victory and became just the fourth Spaniard to win a Major Championship.
