Raphaël Jacquelin joined an exclusive club on Wednesday when he became the 12th man to reach the impressive milestone of 600 European Tour events at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA.
The 44 year old turned professional in 1995 and went on to claim four European Tour titles as well as winning twice on the Challenge Tour.
The Frenchman follows in the footsteps of Sam Torrance, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Barry Lane, Colin Montgomerie, Roger Chapman, Paul Lawrie, Eamonn Darcy, Peter Baker, Malcolm Mackenzie, David Howell and Robert Karlsson by entering the 600 club.
After firing an opening 71 on day one, Jacquelin insisted he has no intention of stopping any time soon.
He said: "I still feel young, actually, so I'm all right.
"I know it's a lot of tournaments. I can see that, I can feel it sometimes. But I'm still enjoying myself on Tour, that's the most important, so I keep on going."
Here is a look at some of Jacquelin's career highlights so far.
238th time lucky
Having turned pro two years earlier, Jacquelin tasted victory not once, but twice on the Challenge Tour in the summer of 1997, winning the Memorial Olivier Barras before repeating the trick just over two months later at the Steelcover Dutch Challenge.
But he faced a much longer wait to lift his maiden European Tour trophy.
Jacquelin came agonisingly close to breaking his duck at the 2004 Dunhill Championship, where he finished on 22 under par alongside Grégory Havret and Marcel Siem before losing out to the German in a play-off.
His day finally arrived a year later, however, when he won the 2005 Open de Madrid - his first European Tour title at the 238th attempt. Jacquelin had gone into the final round with a seven-shot advantage but, with a strong field chasing him down, he still had work to do to clinch his three-shot victory. He celebrated in style, with the help of some of the other players who sprayed him with Champagne after he sank the winning putt.
Soon back in the winner's circle
Fortunately for Jacquelin, he did not have to wait quite so long for his second win.
He tasted victory for the second time on the European Tour in April 2007 at the BMW Asian Open, finishing two shots clear of nearest challenger Søren Kjeldsen.
Strong 2011
Jacquelin got his 2011 campaign off to a dream start as he won the Sicilian Open in March before finishing in a tie for fourth at the BMW PGA Championship.
But 2011 will no doubt live long in Jacquelin's memory for another reason - it was the year he recorded his only top-ten finish at a Major Championship to date.
The Frenchman came eighth at the 140th Open Championship at Royal St George's as Darren Clarke claimed a memorable victory.
Marathon play-off to win fourth title
Extra holes were required to separate co-leaders Jacquelin, Felipe Aguilar and Maximilian Kieffer at the end of the 2013 Open de España - nine extra holes to be precise.
Jacquelin drew on all of his experience to edge Kieffer at the ninth play-off hole and produce win number four.
