Langasque inches away from ace

Frenchman Romain Langasque came agonisingly close to claiming the first hole-in-one of the 2021 Race to Dubai season at the par three 15th, shortly before play was suspended due to fading light at around 6pm local time. If his ball had dropped in, rather than whistling just past the hole, Langasque would have secured himself a BMW 850i xDrive. So close...

What a difference a day makes for Fleetwood

Englishman Tommy Fleetwood's season had got off to a rocky start in testing afternoon conditions on Thursday, as he carded two bogeys, one double bogey and a solitary birdie in his first ten holes before play was halted in the evening. But it was a completely different story when he returned to complete his first round on Friday morning, as the 2017 and 2018 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship winner made four birdies in his last seven holes, before producing a bogey free 67 in round two to head into the weekend on six under par.

Jazz picks up where he left off

Like Fleetwood, Jazz Janewattananond was also up early on Friday to finish his first round as a result of Thursday's fog delay. He made three birdies on his back nine in the morning to sign for a flawless opening 68 before picking up where he left off with an eagle on the first hole of his second round - the par five tenth. He added three birdies and two bogeys to that eagle to complete a 69 and grab a share of second place on seven under par.

Hatton lands yet another eagle

Pretty much everything Hatton touched turned to gold on day one and that proved to be the case again as he began his second round. Having made two eagles on his front nine on Thursday, the World Number Nine got another at the second hole on day two, draining his 22 foot putt. His putter is certainly very hot at the moment...

After dropping his first shot of the tournament at the third, Hatton notched four birdies in a row from the seventh to move to 12 under par with five holes of his second round still to complete on Saturday morning.
