Weekend general admission tickets for the 2022 BMW PGA Championship have now completely sold out, a first in the history of the prestigious Rolex Series event which continues the trend of unprecedented demand for DP World Tour events in the 2022 campaign.
The fourth Rolex Series event of the season will boast a world-class field which includes the returning Rory McIlroy, Spanish sensation Jon Rahm, defending champion Billy Horschel, U.S. Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick as well as the respective 2020 and 2019 BMW PGA Champions Tyrrell Hatton and Danny Willett.
Once again, the week at Wentworth Club will provide fans with a full festival of golf and entertainment and tickets are still available for the remaining days, but fans are encouraged to purchase now to avoid disappointment. Remaining tickets are available here.
The action begins on Tuesday, when the tournament practice day – where fans can see their favourite players in a more relaxed environment - is preceded by the second and final round of the G4D @ BMW PGA Championship, which will see some of the best golfers with disabilities battle it out for the title at the prestigious venue.
That is followed by the star-studded Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am which brings together global celebrities – including Formula One’s Lando Norris, global popstar Niall Horan and Hollywood actor Tom Felton - and some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event.
The opening two rounds of the BMW PGA Championship, on Thursday September 8 and Friday September 9, provide an opportunity to watch the whole field in action before the cut falls on Friday evening.
“The BMW PGA Championship’s reputation as the Festival of Golf continues to grow and we cannot wait to welcome the fans back into the gates of Wentworth Club next month,” said Kit Gartrell, the DP World Tour’s Championship Director for the BMW PGA Championship.
“With a world-class field including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Matt Fitzpatrick and defending champion Billy Horschel, as well as Jax Jones providing a DJ set and Razorlight bringing their stadium rock to the Slingsby Showstage, it is set to be an incredible week for the whole family.
“Tickets still remain for the Celebrity Pro-Am which always provides a hugely entertaining curtain-raiser for the main event, while we would also encourage fans to pick up their tickets for Thursday and Friday – when they can watch all of their favourite players before the cut falls - to avoid disappointment.”
The BMW PGA Championship takes place less than an hour from central London, with a range of transport options to Wentworth Club available. BMW group owners will once again receive preferred parking benefits and a Park & Ride will also be available free of charge.
Every year, the BMW PGA Championship is one of the highlights of the British sporting summer, with its mix of world-class golf, live entertainment from internationally-renowned music acts and an unrivalled atmosphere in the vibrant Spectator Village.
