The Dane won his fifth DP World Tour title at the age of 23 on Sunday as he birdied his last three holes at Royal County Down to win the Amgen Irish Open.

With the victory in Northern Ireland, Højgaard is on track to record his career-best finish on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex after climbing nine places to second.

Højgaard, who finished 16th on the DP World Tour’s season-long standings in 2020 and 2022, also climbed to the top of the 2025 European Ryder Cup qualifying standings. He now has 2,250.55 Race to Dubai points from his 17 starts, with five top tens in addition to his victory.

After narrowly missing out on securing dual membership status at the end of last season, Rasmus is all but confirmed to join twin brother Nicolai in holding a PGA TOUR card next year.

The Amgen Irish Open marked the third event of the Back 9, where there are increased Race to Dubai points on offer, with 5,000 available in each regular event – up from 3,000 during the Global Swings phase. 8,000 Rankings points will be on offer at the BMW PGA Championship as the third Rolex Series Event of the year.

Players can qualify for the DP World Tour Play-Offs throughout the Back 9, as they earn enough points to guarantee their position in the top 70 competing at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Højgaard joins the likes of Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre and Tommy Fleetwood at the DP World Tour Play-Offs, which concludes with the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from November 14-17.
