Entries for the 2020 Staysure Tour Qualifying School will close at 12:00 pm GMT on Friday January 10, 2020. Secure your chance to compete against some of the most iconic names in the game.
Applications are open to all male professional golfers, as well as amateurs with a handicap of one or lower, who are at least 50 years old on or before July 31, 2020.
First Stage will take place over 36 holes at two separate qualifying venues – Silves Golf and Gramacho Golf Club at Pestana Golf Resort – on January 23-24. The two sites located near Portimao, Portugal will host the First Stage before Staysure Tour hopefuls, who will gain access to all full field events, will battle for the five cards available at Final Stage at the neighbouring Vale da Pinta Course from January 27-30.
The application deadline is Friday January 10, 2020 at 12pm.
The Staysure Tour has introduced a new entry process for Qualifying School this year. This will be a two stage online process and will require entrants to pay the entry fee before filling in and submitting the application. Applicants wishing to enter the Staysure Tour Qualifying School should proceed as follows:
- Choose the currency you wish to use for payment (either Sterling or Euro) by selecting the appropriate link below.
- Make payment in your chosen currency using a credit card.
- Once payment has been processed you will be able to access the Conditions of Entry and the Application Form.
- If you have reason to believe that you might be eligible to go to Final Stage, complete the form as required, claim the relevant exemption and submit your application. If you are not exempt, complete the form as required, select your preferred 1st Stage venue (and alternative venue) and submit your application.*
*Amateur entrants will be required to attach and submit a handicap certificate during the application process.

2019 Qualifying School graduate José Manuel Carriles won his maiden Staysure Tour title at the European Tour Destinations Senior Classic six months later.
At the 2018 Staysure Qualifying School, Paul Streeter claimed the third card and went on to win the Rookie of the Year Award for that season. The Englishman won twice in 2018 and finished the year in ninth place on the Order of Merit, earning more than €200,000 in his debut campaign.
While compatriot David Shacklady won the fourth card that year and won in his debut season in Russia. Since then, Shacklady has added two further wins to his name in 2019 – The Sinclair Invitational and the Druh Belts presents Paris Legends Championship by Renault Z.E.
A year before, American Clark Dennis famously came through Q-School in January of 2017 and then went on to win the Order of Merit later that year, amassing an incredible two wins and eight top five results in 14 starts.
With the resurgence of over 50s golf, and so many famous names playing on the over-50s circuit, Staysure Tour Qualifying School will offer huge rewards to the skilled players who earn their 2020 Staysure Tour cards.
