Spain’s Club de Golf Bonmont will be one of four host sites for the Second Stage of the 2019 European Tour Qualifying School.
The Spanish venue previously held the 1991 and 1996 Catalan Open where José Maria Olazábal and Paul Lawrie triumphed respectively, and this year will see it make its debut as a Qualifying School Second Stage venue from November 7-10.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, Club de Golf Bonmont is situated 30 minutes south west of Lumine Golf Club, the location of the 2017 and 2018 Qualifying School Final Stage.
The 6976 yard par 72 course is a highly regarded former European Tour layout and the European Tour hopefuls can expect a stern test when the tee it up in November.
“We are thrilled to announce Club de Golf Bonmont as the latest edition to the 2019 Qualifying School schedule,” said Qualifying School Director Mike Stewart.
“As a former European Tour venue, the course welcomed stars from the world of golf, so the players can expect a tough test and an exciting challenge posed by this fantastic layout.
“We must say thank you to everyone at Club de Golf Bonmont, in particular Director of Golf, Stéphane Juliá who played a vital role in ensuring that the course has become part of the Qualifying School network.”

Contested over three separate stages, the 2019 Qualifying School schedule will start in September before culminating once again in November at Lumine Golf Club, in Tarragona, Spain for the six-round Final Stage.
The top 25 players and ties will earn their European Tour Membership in Category 17, while players who make the four-round Final Stage cut, but finish outside the top 25, will earn their European Challenge Tour Membership in Category 22.
