• His first European Tour International Schedule victory in his 147th European Tour event.

• Moves to €271,318 in The Race to Dubai and to just outside the top 70 from 224th.

• Moves from 507th in the Official World Golf Ranking to inside the top 240.

• This victory beats his previous best European Tour finishes of second in the 2008 MAPFRE Open de Andalucia by Valle Romano and the 2010 Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal.

• This victory beats his previous best 2011 performance of tied 35th in the Nordea Masters.

• Second time he has led or shared the lead going into the final round of a European Tour event. The first occasion was the 2008 MAPFRE Open de Andalucia by Valle Romano. He was tied with Thomas Levet before losing a play-off to the Frenchman.

• The seventh first-time winner of the 2011 season. The first-time winners are: Nick Watney (WGC – Cadillac Championship), Nicolas Colsaerts (Volvo China Open), Thomas Aiken (Open de España), Robert Rock (BMW Italian Open presented by CartaSi), Matthew Zions (SAINT OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC), Keegan Bradley (US PGA Championship) and Oliver Fisher (Czech Open).

• With Keegan Bradley winning the US PGA Championship seven days ago, this is the first time The European Tour has witnessed two consecutive first-time winners since Louis Oosthuizen (2010 Open de Andalucía de Golf) and James Morrison (2010 Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal).

• Joins Peter Teravainen (1995), Jonathan Lomas (1996) and Oskar Henningsson (2009), as players to make the Czech Open their first European Tour victory.

• Becomes the second Englishman to win the Czech Open, following Jonathan Lomas in 1996.
