• Established a new record for the lowest winning total at the WGC – HSBC Champions of 264 (-24), and in relation to par, beating the 267 (-21), set by Ian Poulter in 2012. His 24 under par score is only one shot outside the all-time lowest winning WGC score in relation to par. This was set by Tiger Woods at the WGC – Cadillac Championship in 2002, who was 25 under.
• His three shot winning margin equals the largest in the history of the event, set by David Howell (2006 before the event became a WGC event) and Martin Kaymer in 2011.
• Is the first time in WGC history that America has won all four of the WGC events in a single season.
• Joins Francesco Molinari (2010) and Martin Kaymer (2011) as players to make the WGC – HSBC Champions their first WGC victory.
