His second European Tour International Schedule victory in his 167th European Tour event.

Moves to the top of The Race to Dubai with 864,975 points.

Would move to inside the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking from 84th.

His first victory since the 2012 BMW International Open. This is a gap of two years and 166 days.

Played in 60 events between victories.

This victory beats his previous best finish since his 2012 win of tied second in the 2012 Omega European Masters.

Victory comes in his debut in the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Enjoyed a very good 2014 season without winning. He recorded seven top ten finishes and finished 25th in The Race to Dubai, with 1,304,728 points. For the season he was a total of 148 under par. Only Romain Wattel, who was 157 under par, bettered Danny Willett’s total in relation to par.

Follows Sir Nick Faldo (1994) and Lee Westwood (2010 and 2011), as English winners of the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

His first victory in South Africa. Before this tournament he had played 14 European Tour events in South Africa and finished in the top ten, six times. The best was a tie for fourth in the Joburg Open in both 2009 and 2010.

This win sees England win the opening event of a European Tour season for the first time since David Howell at the 2006 HSBC Champions.
