Charley Hull and Alejandro Canizares are presented with their winners trophies by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem after the final round of the Trophee Hassan II Golf.

• His second European Tour International Schedule victory in his 202nd European Tour event.

• Moves to €383,988 in The Race to Dubai.

• Would move inside the top 90 in the Official World Golf Ranking from 141st.

• His first European Tour victory since the 2006 Imperial Collection Russian Open; a gap of seven years and 208 days.

• Won the 2006 Imperial Collection Russian Open in just his third European Tour event, having joined The European Tour as an Affiliate Member. Has played in 198 European Tour events between victories.

• Since his 2006 victory his best European Tour finishes were second in the 2007 Open de Madrid Valle Romano, second in the Iberdrola Open of 2010 and tied second in the 2010 Alstom Open de France and 2012 Reale Seguros Open de España.

• This victory beats his previous best 2014 performance of tied fifth in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

• This victory comes in his fifth appearance in the Trophée Hassan II since the event became part of The European Tour in 2010.

• This victory beats his previous best performance in the Trophée Hassan II of tied 32nd in 2013. (He has made the 36 hole cut each year he has played in the event since 2010).

• This victory is the first by a Spanish player since the event became part of The European Tour in 2010. (Although prior to 2010, he would become the fourth Spanish player to win the event since it began in 1971. He joins: Salvador Balbuena (1976), Ignacio Garrido (1996) and Santiago Luna (1998, 2002 and 2003).

• The second consecutive wire-to-wire winner of the Trophée Hassan II, following Marcel Siem.

OTHER FACTS

• Won wire-to-wire with no ties in any of the four rounds. Becomes the first wire-to-wire winner on The European Tour with no ties Marcel Siem in this very event in 2013.

• The second wire-to-wire winner of the 2014 European Tour season and second in consecutive tournaments, following Patrick Reed at the WGC – Cadillac Championship.

• With Patrick Reed winning wire-to-wire at the WGC – Cadillac Championship and Alejandro Cañizares at the Trophée Hassan II, this marks the first time there have been back-to-back, wire-to-wire winners on The European Tour since Kiradech Aphibarnrat (2013 Maybank Malaysian Open) and Marcel Siem (2013 Trophée Hassan II).

• The first wire-to-wire victory of his career.

• His winning margin of five is the largest since the event became part of The European Tour in 2010. The previous biggest was three by Michael Hoey in 2012 and Marcel Siem in 2013.

• His winning margin of five is the largest on The European Tour this season and largest since Henrik Stenson won by six at the 2013 DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

• Maintains his 100% record of winning when leading going into the final round. Won the 2006 Imperial Collection Russian Open when leading by one shot after 54 holes. Led by six going into the final round here in Morocco. This is the largest 54 hole lead of the 2014 European Tour to date).

• The first time he has led going into the final round of a European Tour event since the 2013 BMW PGA Championship, when he led by one and eventually finished tied fourth.

• The lowest start and lowest start in relation to par by a winner this season, after he began with a ten under par 62. This beats the 64 (-8) by Charl Schwartzel (Alfred Dunhill Championship).

• The fourth Spanish victory on The European Tour of the 2014 season. The others were Miguel Angel Jiménez (Hong Kong Open); Pablo Larrazabal (Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship); and Sergio Garcia (Commercial Bank Qatar Masters).

• The 171st Spanish victory in European Tour history.

• The 19th different Spanish player to record multiple European Tour victories.

• Gains a European Tour exemption until the end of the 2016 season.

• Moves to 737,332 in The European Ryder Cup Points Table.

• Gains a place in the 2015 Volvo Golf Champions.

• Gains his second victory as a professional.
