Danny Willett has no intention of taking his foot off the gas at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship after claiming a second Rolex Series title last week.
The Englishman held off a field containing Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Justin Rose - who are all teeing it up in Scotland this week - to win the BMW PGA Championship and move into the top ten in the Race to Dubai Rankings Presented by Rolex.
The victory also moved him back into the all important top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking but the 2016 Masters Tournament winner has no intention of resting on his laurels.
"It is great to be back here," he said. "It would be nice to get a good week under our belt and then a week off before a really busy end to the season now.
"We're here this week to try and knuckle down and enjoy it for the week it is. Obviously having a great time with the Pro-Am guys and making sure they have a good time and see what we can do.
"We've changed the schedule a little bit. Before we would play everything to make sure we are in Dubai to defend. We've got to make sure that we're fresh for that."
Willett is not sure if he is back to the sort of form that made him a Major Champion, but he is delighted to be back at the top of the game less than 18 months after dropping out of the world's top 400.
"No one really knows what your best is," he said. "I feel like I'm in a much better place of being able to understand my game and what I'm able to do and how to cope with different pressures differently.
"The movement side of things is definitely better, we've been working really hard on that, so the game is definitely in a better place to where it has been.
"But best? I don't really know what that is yet. Still early days with Foles (coach, Sean Foley) and a lot we need to unlock and see how good we can get."
