Rock solid approach play and some deadly accurate putting were the cornerstones of Martin Wiegele’s success at the SAINT-OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC.
According to the Genworth Statistics, the Austrian found an average of 69.4% of Greens in Regulation over the four days at Aa St Omer Golf Club, placing him seventh in that category. Wiegele’s form on the greens was equally impressive, finishing third in the Putts Per Round category with an average of 28.3.
On the final day his putting stroke held up magnificently under pressure, as he finished first in the Putts Per Round category with just 24 putts in a winning round of 68.
