Anticipation is building ahead of the 123rd U.S. Open, which takes place at Los Angeles Country Club from June 15-18.
Jordan Smith and Thriston Lawrence, who will make his U.S. Open debut, will both feature after finishing as the top two players – not otherwise exempt – from the 2022 DP World Tour Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership.
The duo, who won three DP World Tour titles between them last season, are joined by Australia’s Min Woo Lee as the highest ranked player on the current Race to Dubai Rankings who is not otherwise exempt.
Last month, Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Ryan Fox, Lucas Herbert, Kurt Kitayama, Adrian Meronk, Alex Noren, Victor Perez and Séamus Power securing their spots by being inside the top 60 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
In addition, Simon Forsström and Romain Langasque are in the field as the top two aggregate point earners, not otherwise exempt, in the four-event 2023 DP World Tour U.S. Open Qualifying Series (DS Automobiles Italian Open, Soudal Open, KLM Open and Porsche European Open).
Deon Germishuys, Ross Fisher, David Horsey, Wilco Nienaber, Jens Dantorp, Alejandro Del Rey, Matthieu Pavon and Jordan Gumberg secured their exemptions via Final Qualifying at Walton Heath Golf Club.
