Find out who is playing in the 2021 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth
Defending Champion Tyrrell Hatton returns to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship, and will be in the company of European Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington and World Number 14 Viktor Hovland when he gets underway on Thursday.
The Englishman, who is all but guaranteed to be one of the nine automatic qualifiers for Ryder Cup Europe on the completion of the event, has a chance to become the first man to win five Rolex Series titles this week. Meanwhile Hovland, who currently sits at 10th on the Race to Dubai following his historic win at the 2021 BMW International Open, makes his second appearance at Wentworth, while Harrington is making his 18th start in this event. The trio start their first round at 12.40pm.
They tee off ahead of the group of Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood and reigning Race to Dubai Champion Lee Westwood. As it stands, all three players currently occupy automatic qualifying spots for the upcoming Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, with Fleetwood the only one so far confirmed. The race to be part of the European side concludes at this week's BMW PGA Championship, and plenty of eyes will be on the group that tees off at 12.55pm.
Another notable afternoon group consists of 2017 winner Alex Noren, who gets his first round underway at 12.20pm with Graeme McDowell and Robert MacIntyre.
Four hours earlier, the group of 2018 BMW PGA Championship winner Francesco Molinari, two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer and last year's runner-up Victor Perez start their day at 8.20am.
Following them is the trio of Justin Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick and Adam Scott, who makes his first start in this event since 2006 when his group tees off at 8.30am.
One group behind at 8.45am are American Billy Horschel - who makes his second appearance after a top five finish here last year - with Ian Poulter and Bernd Wiesberger, who are two players also hoping to impress Harrington ahead of automatic qualifying and his Captain's picks on Sunday.
