Who is playing in the 2020 Scottish Championship presented by AXA?

Former World Number One Lee Westwood will look to add European Tour victory number 26 when he tees off alongside home favourite Robert MacIntyre and Aaron Rai at the inaugural Scottish Championship presented by AXA on Thursday.

The 47-year-old arrives at the Torrance Course at Fairmont St Andrews in fine form following five successive top 20 finishes, including tied for 13th at the U.S. Open Championship at Winged Foot.

He will be grouped alongside 2019 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year MacIntyre and newly crowned Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open winner Rai, starting on the the back nine at 08.20.

Current Ryder Cup Captain and three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington is also in the field and begins his first round at 12.25 in the company of four time European Tour winner Matt Wallace and Sam Horsfield – a two time winner on the 2020 Race to Dubai.

Eddie Pepperell finished sixth at last week's BMW PGA Championship and will tee off with South African Brandon Stone and Scot Grant Forrest, beginning on the back nine at 8.10.

Scottish duo Connor Syme and Stephen Gallacher start 20 minutes later at the tenth alongside Betfred British Masters hosted by Lee Westwood champion Renato Paratore.

The most recent Scottish winner on the European Tour, Marc Warren, will begin his opening round at 12.15 with South African Justin Harding and Thai Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Three time European Tour winner Richie Ramsey will get under way at 20 minutes after Warren's threeball, playing alongside Paul Waring and Australian Scott Hend.
