Westwood receives Ping recognition

Lee Westwood has been presented with a framed gold plated Ping Redwood Anser putter in recognition of his victory in The European Tour’s inaugural Race to Dubai.

Westwood received the putter from Ping Chairman and CEO, John Solheim, and European Tour Chief Executive, George O’Grady, during a ceremony at The 139th Open Championship at St Andrews.

The presentation was made jointly by Ping and The European Tour to celebrate Ping's 50th anniversary and as part of a series of Iconic Moments which The European Tour has chosen to celebrate. Lee enjoyed a stellar year in 2009 winning twice on The European Tour and earning €4,237,762 on his way to becoming the first Race to Dubai champion. He also came close to claiming his first Major Championship, finishing third in both The Open and the US PGA Championship.
