Lee Westwood is hoping to turn some consistent form into victory at this week's Scottish Championship presented by AXA 2020.
Since golf resumed following the coronavirus shutdown, Westwood has not missed a cut and travels to Fairmont St Andrews on the back of five consecutive top-20 finishes.
However, the 47-year-old is keen to kick on and put himself in contention come Sunday.
“Just playing solidly,” he said. “I feel like I’ve elevated my consistency.
“I’ve played well the last few weeks, a couple of shots here and there could have turned 13th to 20ths into top fives and top tens.
“With a bit more luck and a few breaks going my way, even down to the US Open, parring the last two holes turned a 13th into a fifth.

“The standard of golf I’ve been playing has been high. So I’m looking forward to this week, carrying it on and seeing if I can eliminate a couple of silly mistakes and be in there with a chance on Sunday.”
Westwood had to negotiate very wet and windy conditions two weeks ago at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, but is expecting a simpler test this time.
“I always enjoy coming to this area to play golf,” he added. “I haven’t played the golf course yet but I believe it’s good.
“It’s in great condition apparently. The greens are fantastic. I enjoy playing links golf – the Scottish Open a couple of weeks ago and now here seems like a real treat to play off this turf.
“If the forecast is correct we might see some low scoring this week. But it’s so changeable on this coast. Without wind most links courses become scoring opportunities because they are built around ten to 20 mile-per-hour winds and they have to stay playable in those conditions.
“If you don’t get the winds you expect, they become a bit of a birdie-fest. I would expect low scoring with the conditions that are forecast.”
