10th Hole – 550 yards Par 5:
With verdant green mountains as a backdrop you start to play on this dogleg left uphill par 5. Bunkers guard both the left and right sides of the first landing area. Playing close to the right side will afford you the opportunity to go at the green in two shots. Should you come up short you will find yourself chipping from a cavernous grassy hollow that guards the front of the green. Opting to lay up to the right of the green you will need to chip with care as the green runs away from you at that angle.
11th Hole – 208 yards Par 3:
A down hill par 3, this hole will play much longer than it looks. With the lake in front you will have to carry the ball all the way to the green. Shots that are either long or stray right of the green will find bunkers. Hitting out of these bunkers toward the lake will require a skilful shot to make par.
12th Hole – 433 yards Par 4:
A powerful drive will be very important in making par or better on this uphill straightaway par 4. Challenge the right side fairway bunkers to get the best view and attack angle toward the green. Play up the left side of the fairway and your second shot will have to carry large bunkers to reach the green. With the green sloping toward the center from both sides it might be a good play to hit short right og the green and trying to chip for birdie or get the ball close for an easy par.
13th Hole – 472 yards Par 4:
Gently sloping downhill this long slightly dogleg left par 4 will require great discipline on your tee shot. With no bunkers along the fairway it will seem that there is ample room to hit your drive. Be careful though of the four large trees guarding either side of the fairway. Land your drive behind one of these trees and your second shot to the green will be most difficult. The green is narrow, long and guarded by bunkers on both the front right and the entire length of the left side. A back bunker and grassy hollow await you right of the green giving you a testing chip on to the green.
14th Hole – 581 yards Par 5:
This long and graceful dogleg left par 5 plays both downhill and then uphill on your way to the green. With an undulating fairway you will want to play your tee shot over the pond long and straight past the left side fairway bunkers to gain extra distance. This extra distance will be crucial should you want to attempt making the green in two shots. The right and left side fairway bunkers at the second landing area will need to be successfully navigated and will effect your strategy on how you play the hole. Moreover, the views from this area are among the most beautiful on the golf course and will be an added distraction to over come in making a precise chip to this softly undulating, twisting green and a good score.
15th Hole – 407 yards Par 4:
This straightaway par 4 looks to dogleg right but is actually straight. Play your tee shot as close to the nest of bunkers on the right as possible. This will give you a straight approach shot to the green. It will take the two bunkers that guard both sides of the green entrance out of play. Pay special attention to club selection on your second shot.
16th Hole – 434 yards Par 4:
A downhill par 4, you will need to carry two difficult water hazards to safely make the green. The first large pond is just past the hitting area. The second guards the entire left front of the green. Two bunkers on the right and one behind the green further protect the green. The best approach to the green would be to carry the right hand fairway bunker. Make this shot and you will be rewarded with an easy approach to the green. Be careful with your approach shot though, the green falls away from you so think of trying to hit short of the pin and let the ball run to the hole.
17th Hole – 411 yards Par 4:
Bunkers left of the fairway and a large grassy knoll that extends into the fairway from the right will place a high premium on driving accuracy on this uphill par 4. Play away from the right side bunkers and you could wind up behind the large grassy knoll. This could give you a semi-blind shot to this two level green that shares several characteristics with a “Redan” style green. The green predominately slopes from left to right, it gets narrower as it moves to the right and the complete right side of the green is defended with bunkers. The strategy to scoring well here is to play as close to the left side fairway bunkers as possible then play your following shot to the left of the pin allowing your shot to ‘feed’ toward the pin.
18th Hole – 207 yards Par 3:
Playing to a “Gullwing” style green this long par three will be a formidable test of golf for even the most advanced golfers. With decks on either side of a swale that runs through the green, playing to the same side as the pin will be very important to good scoring. Trying to play the hit and run will require a very precise shot as only a very narrow portion of the fairway runs onto the green. There is a large sprawling bunker guarding the right that your tee shot will have to carry to reach the green. Be careful though not to over club on your tee shot, there is a bunker on the back right side and a grassy hollow in the back left of the green. Making birdie or in some cases par on the hole will be a credit to your golfing ability.
