On behalf of Wentworth Club, welcome to the BMW PGA Championship 2021.
As a Club, we are immensely proud to be hosting one of the European Tour’s premier events, and this year will feel truly special with the return of the fans.
Last year, we were all disappointed that our Tournament was played behind closed doors, however the players put on a fantastic showcase and Tyrrell Hatton emerged a worthy winner. It has of course been an 18-month period that has bought everything into perspective.
Never again will we take for granted the cheer as the players’ names are read out on the first tee, or the roar down the 18th as the winning player takes their place in the history books. We are all looking forward to welcoming the fans back to Wentworth for what promises to be another wonderful week of golf.
It is important to acknowledge that it has been a huge team effort to stage this magnificent event. Thank you to the European Tour for getting us all to this point whilst also still finding inventive ways to enhance the experience for players and fans.
Our gratitude to BMW and Rolex for their continued sponsorship and ongoing support. To the residents of the Wentworth Estate, and to our Club members who look forward to this week each year and accommodate the comings and going required to make it happen.
Finally to our staff who look forward to this week as much as any fan does and whose hard work and dedication will once again ensure the delivery of another unforgettable Championship.
