We’re thrilled to return to Carnoustie Golf Links for the third time in 2024, and we’re ready to crown our fifth and final major winner of the season on PGA TOUR Champions.
Our players enjoy competing on the international stage, and this event gives us the opportunity to showcase our Tour in the United Kingdom on an annual basis. During the last staging of The Senior Open in 2023, which was held at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Wales, Alex Cejka battled the elements to win his third major title on the Champions Tour by defeating World Golf Hall of Fame member Padraig Harrington in a playoff.
The Senior Open is the 17th of 25 regular season events during the Champions Tour’s 2024 season. After the conclusion of the regular season, 72 players will qualify for the three-tournament Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs to determine the winner of the 2024 Charles Schwab Cup.
