Ronald Rugumayo knew that he needed a birdie on his last hole in the second round of the Magical Kenya Open presented by absa to become the first Ugandan to make the cut at a DP World Tour event.
With that in mind, he decided to make a change - not to his line or his swing or his tactics but his ball.
The 31-year-old swapped out his number four for a lucky number three and the rest is history.
Facing a tricky right-to-left six-footer on the ninth green, he held his nerve and saw the the ball creep in the hole on the near side, sending the local crowd into a frenzy.
