Although Dredge birdied the third, he bogeyed the fourth to drop back to five under par, three shots behind Warren.
One behind Dredge was home hero Thomas Björn, who made gains on four of his first seven holes with just one blemish.
Björn was enjoying a strong following amid more large crowds at the first European Tour event in Denmark since 2003.
The spectators were not put off by a rain delay of an hour and 15 minutes before the leaders started their rounds.
