Scot Marc Warren has set himself the target of returning to the world's top 50 after finishing fifth in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday.
The 35 year old began the week ranked 125th in the Race to Dubai but a strong performance on home soil has eased any worries Warren had about securing his European Tour card for next season.
Warren posted a level-par 72 in his opening round at Kingsbarns before firing seven birdies and a single bogey at St Andrews on Friday to move to six under.
A superb 67 at Carnoustie, widely regarded as the toughest of the three host courses, saw Warren climb up the leaderboard on Saturday and a flawless 67 on Sunday took him to 16 under.
After his final round, Warren said: "Someone said to me, keeping a card is very similar to the pressures of trying to win a tournament, and at the end of the day, you are. You want to hit the shot as good as you can and try to make as many birdies as you can.
"Yesterday was really important, that good round at Carnoustie and then to follow up with a round like that, I'm really, really pleased.
"Obviously under that sort of pressure, that is some of the best golf I've played. It's definitely up there with when I was top 50 in the world but it's just a matter of doing it more often.

"It's nice to know that I can do it and I can be top 50 in the world, and once you've been there, you just want to get back inside it, so that's definitely the goal moving forward.
"Hopefully I can add another one or two tournaments to my schedule but definitely I would like to add more to that, and Race to Dubai is definitely in my sights now."
Warren opened his fourth round with four straight pars before carding his first birdie of the day at the fifth.
He then made back-to-back gains at the eighth and ninth to reach the turn in 33 before picking up another shot at the 16th.
And the three-time European Tour winner finished his round with a birdie at the 18th to get to 16 under.
Warren added: "I'm very happy, to say the least. Obviously I knew coming in, today was an important day for me in terms of the season, and to go out and play like that, 67, bogey-free was relatively stress free - as much as it could be.
"I had a really good par putt on 14 after driving in the bunker there, but that was the only trouble I was in all day. It was a really nice bonus on 16, and I hit two great shots into 17, which took the pressure off, and it was nice to finish with a three at the last."
