Marc Warren continued his fine form to close in on the inaugural Made in Denmark title.
The Scot birdied the third, fourth and eighth holes but bogeyed the ninth to turn in 33 on eight under par with a lead of three shots at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort.
He was on course for his third European Tour title and first since winning the 2007 Johnnie Walker Championship.
Warren, who shot a stunning round of five under in high winds on Saturday, shared the overnight lead with Bradley Dredge.
The Welshman had an up and down front nine in better conditions on Sunday, with three bogeys and two birdies, to sit five under, one ahead of England’s Simon Wakefield.
Another player with mixed fortunes was home hero Thomas Björn who made four gains, including by chipping in from the edge of the seventh green, but two drops to be three under.
He was joined on that score by countryman Thorbjørn Olesen, both watched by more large crowds at the first European Tour event in Denmark since 2003.
The spectators were not put off by a rain delay of an hour and 15 minutes before the leaders started their rounds.
