Volvo offers up a very special ‘High Five’

Volvo is offering not one, not two, but five hole in one prizes during this week’s Volvo World Match Play Championship, held at London Golf Club, in Kent.

The match play format always guarantees drama, and this week there will be even more excitement than usual with prizes on offer on all five of the par threes at London Club’s International Course.

At the first short hole, the fourth, the players can win a Volvo V40 Cross Country car with an ace. On the final day of this year’s Volvo China Open, Danny Willett was fortunate enough to win the contemporary vehicle, which can even park itself.

Floating on the lake at the beautiful, but challenging eighth is a Princess V39 yacht. The first player to make a hole in one there will win the twin Volvo Penta D6-330 DP engines which power the yacht, with a combined value of €88,000.

Possibly the most unusual – and certainly the biggest – of Volvo’s five-star prizes is the one on offer at the longest par three on the course, the 229-yard 12th hole. Here, the first golfer to hole his tee shot will win a Volvo FH16 Truck, which has a value of €150,000.

Another dramatic short hole featuring water is the 14th, where a hole in one will be rewarded with the all-new Volvo XC90, valued at €75,000, which was launched in the UK at the tournament.

Finally, the 198-yard 16th hole offers the pros a unique chance to win the Volvo BL71B Backhoe Loader, a wheel loader which is worth €62,000.
