Tickets for the 2024 Volvo China Open officially go on sale at 11am today, and spectators can purchase their tickets through Damai and Maoyan Entertainment. Early bird tickets are available at a 40% discount, and the organizing commitee is offering various other package options.
The 29th Volvo China Open will take place at Shenzhen Hidden Grace Golf Club from 2 to 5 of May, and will be the first DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) event to be held in China for five years. With a total prize fund of US$2.25 million, the event offers the highest total prize fund for a professional golf event in mainland China this year.
The event is organized by the China Golf Association and will see a total of 156 players participating over 72 holes. The field includes nearly 100 DP World Tour professionals plus the top 36 players from the China Tour.
Champions of the Volvo China Junior Match Play Championship, the China Amateur Open and 12 players winning through from qualifying rounds will also take part. South African’s Zander Lombard, Jordan Smith of Great Britain, German’s Yannik Paul and the tournament’s 2016 champion Li Haotong have all confirmed their participation.
The Volvo China Open is the longest-running international professional golf tournament in mainland China. Chinese players including Cheng Jun, Zhang Lianwei, Wu Ashun, Li Haotong, Zhang Huilin and Zhang Jin have all donned the golden jacket and lifted the prestigious champion’s trophy. Several of those players will return to compete again this year, presenting Chinese golf fans with a rare and remarkable golf feast.
Single day ticket prices for weekdays (Thursday and Friday) will cost RMB 198. Saturday’s tickets will cost RMB 278 while tickets for the final round will be charged at RMB 298. Fans who purchase tickets between 11am on 7 April and 11am on 13 April will enjoy an early bird discount of 40%. There are only 1,200 early bird tickets available and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. They are expected to sell out quickly.
To facilitate attendance for all four days and to include families, the organizing committee has introduced various package deals such as single-person two-day passes, two-person one-day passes, and two-person two-day passes. Children aged 3 to 6 will enter for free (accompanied by a guardian), while older children and young adults (aged 6 to 24), as well as seniors aged 60 and above, will also enjoy ticket discounts.
The committee will also offer an exclusive Volvo Lounge Ticket. Located beside the 18th green, VIPs can enjoy gourmet cuisine prepared by renowned chefs in spacious and comfortable surroundings with high-definition TV broadcasts. This will provide the opportunity to watch golf stars close up and engage in face-to-face interactions with invited golf stars. You will also be able to witness the crowning of the champion.
