Vaudoise joins Omega European Masters sponsors

Vaudoise Assurances has become one of the sponsors of the Omega European Masters, extending its involvement in golf.

The independent insurance company, which based in the Suisse romande and was founded in 1895, joins as a sponsor for three years, starting with this year’s event at Crans-sur-Sierre from September 4-7.

Vaudoise already has its own National Amateur Competition for a decade and is now becoming part of The European Tour.

Philippe Hebeisen, group CEO, said: “On top of the marketing and awareness aspects, our involvement in the tournament will allow us to share some memorable moments with our business clients.

“We are delighted to be able to offer them an event which brings together the world golf elite performing on the idyllic Alpine stage. We are equally proud to contribute to a spectacle which features among the eight “Top Events of Switzerland”

Gaston-F. Barras, President of the Omega European Masters Organization Committee, said he was delighted to see Vaudoise Assurances join Credit Suisse and BMW as major sponsors of a tournament which Omega has put its name to for the past 14 years.

He said: “With the support of this new quality partner, already an active sponsor in diverse areas, the Omega European Masters will be able to continue its growth and cement its position as one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world.”
