The tournament, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour, is returning to southern Sweden and features a field of 78 men and 78 women playing for one prize fund and one trophy. Fans can register their interest in tickets here.

Formed in 1973, Vasatorps Golf Club is located 20 minutes from central Helsingborg in Skåne County and offers 54 unique holes on four different courses of varying character.

The Tournament Course has previously hosted DP World Tour events, including the Scandinavian Enterprise Open from 1978–1980, where the late, great Seve Ballesteros lifted the trophy in its first edition. Since then, it has also formed part of the European Challenge Tour schedule and featured on the Ladies European Tour, including the 2002 Compaq Open won by ten-time Major champion Annika Sörenstam.

Hall of Famer Sörenstam successfully hosted three editions of the innovative mixed event, showcasing her commitment to promoting diversity in golf and bringing a fresh approach to the game in Sweden. A trailblazer in women’s sport, Sörenstam will take a step back from her hosting duties as she lightens her playing commitments this season and concentrates on inspiring the next generation with the ANNIKA Foundation.

Louise Friberg, CEO and Club Manager at Vasatorps Golf Club, said: “It is truly a great honour for Vasatorps Golf Club to host the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed. Our club is proud to work with the DP World Tour and the Ladies European Tour to bring these big events to our region.

“Several of Sweden's golf stars making their mark on the global stage today attended the national sports gymnasium in Helsingborg and trained at Vasatorps Golf Club during their school years. Seeing former students coming back to us is fantastic and a full circle moment. On behalf of our fantastic employees, members, and partners, we at Vasatorps Golf Club are extremely proud and happy that our Tournament Course is the host course for the competition in 2024.”

Carina Leffler, City Manager of the City of Helsingborg and, Carla Aguirre Mouritzen, Deputy CEO of Visit Skåne, said in a joint statement: “We are extremely happy to welcome Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed 2024 to Helsingborg and Skåne. For many years, the city and Skåne have purposefully invested in golf as a profile-building event. With its unique sustainability and equality concept, this world-class golf tournament creates several great values for us locally and regionally. It is absolutely right for us in Helsingborg and Skåne.”

“Our game is inherently inclusive, and this tournament, with its mixed format, exemplifies that inclusivity on the global stage. We look forward to continuing to work alongside Volvo Cars, one of the leaders globally in sustainability and equality, and of course our partners from the Ladies European Tour. I also want to take this opportunity to offer my sincere thanks to Annika for her invaluable contribution to this event and I wish her well for her future endeavours.”

Alexandra Armas, Chief Executive of the Ladies European Tour, said: “We at the Ladies European Tour are extremely proud to be part of this trailblazing event alongside our partners at the DP World Tour. Our players are delighted to be returning to Vasatorps Golf Club, a truly world class venue which some of our players already know well, having been the venue for the 2002 Compaq Open and the Helsingborg Open from 2013-2015. We thank Vasatorps Golf Club, the city of Helsingborg and Skåne for their warm welcome and it is no coincidence that several of our top players come from this region. We would also like to thank Annika for hosting this event for the past three years and for continuing her incredible work inspiring and educating young golfers around the world. The 2024 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting tournaments in Europe next year.”
