The European Challenge Tour today confirmed the cancellation of Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge and Open de Bretagne and the postponement of the Andalucía Match Play 9 and Challenge de España, due to the continuing threat posed by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge was due to take place at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil on July 9-12 and will not take place following the French government’s decision to cancel all mass public gatherings and events until mid-July.
Open de Bretagne was scheduled for Golf Bluegreen de Pléneuf Val André on September 3-6 and has also been cancelled. The promoters of both tournaments have extended their agreements with the Challenge Tour by one year.
Andalucía Match Play 9 was scheduled to take place at Iberostar Real Club de Golf on June 11-14 and Challenge de España at a venue still to be confirmed on July 2-5. Discussions with the Real Federation Española de Golf and the tournament stakeholders are ongoing with the aim of rescheduling both tournaments later in the year.
