Unique meet and greet for My European Tour fans

Fifteen lucky fans of My European Tour had a unique meet and greet with Hugo Boss ambassadors Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer following the first round of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.

The chosen 15, who correctly answered a question in an exclusive europeantour.com competition recently, assembled on the Hugo Boss Truck in the Championship Village for an intimate Q & A and signing session with the European Tour stars.

Ginny Young, one of the 15 My European Tour winners, said: "We've really enjoyed it and were very lucky to have two such great guys in Henrik and Martin. We've been following golf and going to watch tournaments for 20 years now and I remember when Henrik won his first event at the Belfry and Martin won at Loch Lomond so it's nice to see they're still doing well and getting to meet them.

"I like entering lots of the competitions on My European Tour and this is a great, unique prize. We've loved it!"

As well as the meet and greet, Hugo Boss launched a special edition polo shirt with a Henrik Stenson logo on, ten per cent of the sales of which will go to Official BMW PGA Tournament Charity, Challengers.

"It's always good to be able help out with the charity work," said Stenson after opening with a four under par 68 in the first round of the European Tour's flagship event. "Hopefully we will sell a few shirts this week and get some money for Challengers because it's a great initiative.

"And it's always good fun meeting the fans. They are always appreciative and interested in hearing about life on Tour, sometimes about the golf, but often more about things unrelated to what we do on the course like hobbies and interests, but it's good to give back."

Laura Sercombe, Chief Executive of Challengers, said: "This is an amazing initiative for a small, local charity that works really hard to punch above its weight, which I think we do. We support more than 1,400 disabled children and young people so something like this is great.

"Everybody knows that Hugo Boss is a stamp of quality so to be associated with a company like this is quite incredible."
