The U.S. Open Qualification Series returned in 2023, giving two players the opportunity to tee it up at The Los Angeles Country Club from June 15-18.
The top two aggregate points earners, who are not otherwise exempt, from the DS Automobiles Italian Open, Soudal Open, KLM Open and Porsche European Open between May 4 and June 4 will compete in the year's third Major Championship.
With DS Automobiles Italian Open winner Adrian Meronk exempt for the U.S. Open by virtue of being in the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking, Romain Langasque topped the standings after his runner-up finish at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, a tie for 16th at the KLM Open and a tie for 10th at the Porsche European Open .
Simon Forsström claimed the second qualifying spot following his maiden DP World Tour title at the Soudal Open in Belgium.
Exemptions have also been awarded to Jordan Smith and Thriston Lawrence, the top two players from the final 2022 DP World Tour Rankings, who are not otherwise exempt, as of May 22, 2023, and Min Woo Lee as the top player from the 2023 Race to Dubai Rankings, who is not otherwise exempt, as of the same date.
