Tommy Fleetwood "loved every minute" of playing in front of the Hoylake crowds as the home favourite shone again on day two of The 151st Open Championship.
The Southport native, who held a share of the first-round lead, carded a level-par 71 to head into the weekend in second place on five under par, five shots behind leader Brian Harman.
The highlight of Fleetwood's second round - which contained three birdies and three bogeys - came at the tenth, where he holed a birdie putt from nearly 60 feet.
That sparked a huge roar from the bumper crowds following him, and the 32-year-old paid tribute to them.
From 59 feet...

Fleetwood said: "They've been insanely amazing. They really, really have.
"I've loved every minute of playing in front of them, and I can't thank everybody enough.
"Can't have asked for any more from anybody with all the support they're giving me out here and everybody is talking about it.
"Yeah, the north west is definitely making a name for itself with how they are.
"It's been great, and I'm just excited to play in front of them. I really am."
