Tight at the top in Perth

Thorbjørn Olesen birdied two of his first three holes to move into a share of the lead on day three of the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth.

The Dane won at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in 2014 and once again found himself at the top of the leaderboard alongside defending champion Brett Rumford and another Australian in Lucas Herbert.

Scot Grant Forrest, Thai Prom Messawat and England's Lee Westwood were then a shot back at eight under.

Herbert made a move on the leaders with a birdie on the first but once the final group got under way, Olesen and Rumford also made gains.

All the players in the penultimate  group the took advantage of the third, with Herbert joinng the lead and Forrest and Meesawat moving to eight under.

Olesen then birdied the par five to make it a three-way tie at the top.

Westwood had made three opening pars to sit one off the lead, one clear of American Sean Crocker, who had two birdies in four holes.

England's Sam Horsfield, Italian Andrea Pavan and Australians Marcus Fraser, Min Woo Lee, James Nitties amd Dimitrios Papadatos completed the tie for the top eight seedings.
