Tickets are now on sale for the World Cup of Golf which returns to Australia for the tournament’s 58th edition at Kingston Heath Golf Club on 23-27, November 2016, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Ticket options range from practice round tickets ($30), single-day competitive round tickets starting at $60 and two-day weekend tickets ($95). Additional options include a full-week pass, upgraded tickets in the MacKenzie Club and other options. Victorian Minister for Tourism and Major Events, John Eren encouraged golf fans from all over Victoria and Australia to take advantage of the rare opportunity to see some of the sport's very best.
"The biggest names in golf love playing in Victoria. Kingston Heath is a world-renowned course and we can't wait to showcase it to golf fans right around the globe. This isn't just a great sporting spectacle, it's a big boost to local traders and small businesses - and a huge win for the economy," said Minister Eren.
Australian golfing legend and twice World Cup of Golf winner, Peter Thomson, was presented with the first ticket to the event at Kingston Heath.
"It was such an honour to play for my country in the World Cup of Golf, known in those days as the Canada Cup, at least four times. Kel Nagle and I won it twice, in Montreal and in Melbourne,” Thomson said. “With the world’s best players from 28 countries competing, there is nothing quite like it. I urge everyone to come out and join me in watching the action, and supporting their own country in November."
The World Cup of Golf will return to team play (two-man teams) from 28 different countries as one of the most historic global events in the game having been played 57 times in 25 countries and will carry an $8 million (US) purse with the first-place team splitting $2.56 million.
The event boasts an impressive and prestigious list of winners that includes the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Davis Love III, Fred Couples, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer, Bernhard Langer, Sam Snead, Peter Thomson, Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Jason Day, among many others. As defending champion of the event, Day, automatically qualifies for this year’s edition of the World Cup of Golf.
Eligibility- The top 28 players from the available countries from the Official World Golf Ranking officially qualify as of Monday, August 1, 2016.
Top player commitment - The top available player, must commit to the event by the week commencing August 15, 2016. These 28 players will select a player of their choosing from the same country, provided such player is ranked among the top 100 on the Official World Golf Rankings as of either August 1, 2016 or August 22, 2016.
